What if your forgotten clothes could get a second life? On November 20th, the Humana Hub series brought its third edition to Ploiești, just 50 kilometers from Bucharest. It proved that fashion can be both creative and sustainable.
For one evening, the Humana store in the city center turned into a buzzing hub of imagination. Around 50 guests joined designer and upcycling workshop facilitator Rodica Georgescu, who inspired everyone to cut, sew, and reinvent their garments. Each button added and each fabric reused became a small but powerful step toward a more sustainable wardrobe.
Under the theme “Re:Imagine Your Clothes”, the event highlighted how communities can shape more mindful consumption habits. Humana Hub is more than a workshop. It is a space where shared values meet creativity and learning. With the support of Chapter 4 Romania, the Ploiești edition showed how local initiatives can create real environmental impact.
In Romania, where over 95% of household textiles end up as waste, practical events like this offer accessible alternatives. With every edition, Humana Hub strengthens its role as an educational and community platform. The energy in Ploiești proved once again that responsible fashion does not need to be complicated. Sometimes it starts with a needle, a thread, and a creative idea.
