On February 19th, Mark Zuckerberg announced that Meta will be launching a new subscription-based verification option that would increase authenticity and security across their services. They will be charging $11.99 to use this feature online and $14.99 for iOS devices.
Similarly, Elon Musk has launched Twitter Blue which will charge $11 for a verification mark, the ability to edit your tweets and two-factor authentication. If you don’t plan to become a Twitter Blue user, make sure to disable the two-factor authentication, otherwise, you will be blocked from accessing your Twitter account.
